The Gillis Foundation Proudly Supports the Periwinkle Foundation

The Periwinkle Foundation develops and provides programs that positively change the lives of children, young adults and families who are challenged by cancer and other life-threatening illnesses and are cared for at Texas Children’s Hospital. Read more about Periwinkle Foundation.

Our Focus

We support local charities in the Houston such as Periwinkle Foundation to send children with cancer and blood diseases to summer camp, provide support for our military troops, to children of domestic violence victims living in shelters, and animal shelters.

About the Gillis Foundation

The Gillis Foundation was started in 2015 by Stratton and Jayne Gillis. Jayne has served on the boards of several non-profit organizations for the past ten years and wanted to start a foundation which can support various needs within the community as they arise. Stratton and Jayne’s annual contribution to our foundation will cover all of the foundation's overhead costs to ensure that all donations and ticket sales will go directly to the charities.
Our board is made up of seven friends from the Houston area. We are all grateful for our blessings and want to give back to our communities. The causes we will initially focus on are:
  • Raising funds to send children with cancer and blood diseases to “Camp For All” as well as Christmas toys for the children who are hospitalized.
  • Sending supplies to our Texas Military Troops serving overseas.
  • Assisting domestic violence victims and their children who are currently in women’s shelters with Easter baskets and Christmas toys as well as holiday meals.
  • Providing food, veterinary care and supplies for local animal shelters.
Any remaining funds per year will be donated to the above causes.
Each year our board will review all suggestions from our supporters and decide where our efforts are best served.  We will also welcome any donation that you would like to make through our foundation, which we will directly contribute to the cause you choose and provide you with the 501(c)3 status for tax purposes.
We hope to grow this foundation to include many more great causes to make life a little easier for good people who need assistance.  With your help we can achieve this goal.
